Things That Make My Heart Beat Faster

My first love has always been design, so when I see something in my social media feed that makes my heart beat faster, I’m eager to share and talk about it. Here are some things from my Pinterest Board I’ve been loving lately.

I love a hidden refrigerator/freezer combination and this one stood out among the rest. It’s not only elegant in its simplicity, it also respects the space of the kitchen by being mindful of precious real estate. Many hidden refrigerator/freezer combinations can be too large for standard kitchens, but this one would fit in most refrigerator spaces and I love that. via Pinterest

There are many things to love in this small photo, but what caught my eye was the curtain on the door. It reminded me that adding small things from the past can really transform a room. via pinterest.com

I love vertical lines that mildly disrupt a space. The whimsy of the marbling is a wonderful contrast to the carpentry and textured island pleats. Sometimes geometry is the best statement piece. via pinterest.com

The wooden beam was the first thing that made me stop scrolling. Honoring it with the reclaimed wooden flooring and natural accessories made me smile. via Restore and More

I love the mix of textures, eras, time, and colors. The tile and the marble are excellent contrasts between consistent geometry and nature’s unpredictability. via English Primary Bath (katlawton.com)

I hope you enjoyed the small things that are making me smile.
