A Truly Modern Farmhouse
The farmhouse look dominated HGTV this past decade, and for good reason. It’s charming without being frumpy, light and airy without being too stark, and it reminds us of a simpler time when food was cooked at home in a large kitchen and family members gathered on our porch on the weekends. It’s also easy to hear the word farmhouse and envision rows of shiplap, pocket barn doors separating the kitchen from the dining room, and other standards of this popular home design. But this farmhouse via Home Adore is anything but standard and I love how unexpected the design is.
Modern, sophisticated, light, and (most importantly) full of natural textiles, this home stays true to the concept of a farmhouse while still feeling luxurious and natural.
