Out with the old home decor, here comes a bold new look!

We all are making that mad dash toward the Holiday Season, and the new year will be here before we know it! I wanted to take a few moments and give you a quick preview of what we will find in the best homes of 2018.

Ready, get set, because here comes Color! Gone like the old year are grays, and neutrals. Color is back. Bright and bold shades of aquatic turquoise, jade greens, bold cinnamons, and deep yellows will accent walls in every room. The hint of the eighties color palette is making its return back into our homes.  Think of color as your home’s best friend: it can do things for your room decor you never thought possible. Do not be afraid of the new shades. You can add color to your home, and maintain comfortable, sophistication.

Also, the indulgent look of brass returns. Yep! Brass will be in all the best showrooms in 2018, in vintage and modern style furniture and accessories. Brass will add that perfect touch of gold. Although, I love trends and I’m seeing gold finishes pop up everywhere.  I’m also making sure the golds look stunning and coordinate with the home and selections of the home.  Be careful not to change out all of your hardware now to gold…Find a finish that works with the tones of your home and enhance your space.  Think of hardware and fixtures as a piece of jewelry for your home.

Leave that pop of color or white painted door in 2017. In 2018: We will walk into elegant hardwood entrances. A natural hardwood and leaded glass entrance is a sign of taste, and permanence that lasts beyond far the latest trend. New homeowners are selecting hardwoods like mahogany and oak to welcome their visitors and provide curb appeal. Your front entrance is the first impression that visitors have of your home, and there is nothing as impressive as hardwood.
