It’s a beautiful Spring day and I’m outside in my sunhat and on my beach towel, soaking in the sun and the fact that I can move my home office outdoors today. Life is moving at a speed that’s hard to comprehend. On the one hand, it’s almost Summer. On the other hand, time feels halted because the concept of looking forward to the future has been greatly altered. But one thing remains the same: I still find things I love on the internet and I still love sharing them with you.
Here are the 5 things I’m loving this week:
I loved this article about ballet dancers working from home and the inside look into their lives during this pandemic. I especially loved looking at their apartments in New York City and San Francisco. It’s such a neat perspective of the lives of artists. Side note: did you know my assistant is a former ballerina and current ballet teacher? I know she loved this article, too. via Domino
Small businesses are close to my heart and supporting them when I can is part of my own personal business motto. This website compiled a list of small businesses that you can peruse across the web and have that personal touch sent straight to your home. via Neat Method
When done right, the floor can be a powerful show stopper. I love how this trend has become modernized, allowing my clients to satisfy their need for patterns without feeling like it’ll be dated in ten years. This is bold yet classic enough to last through the years. via Domino
Pocket doors. They’re elegant, convenient, and make any entrance through them just a bit more grand. I love the windows here, allowing the space to be separate yet open. via Pinterest
This article in Architectural Digest interviews young black artists and their art, their lives, and their need to express what’s going on around the world in regards to their race. It’s beautiful, moving, and healing.
